To qualify as a foster parent, applicants must meet the following requirements:
- Be a Kenyan citizen or a resident in Kenya for at least 12 months.
- Be between 25 and 65 years old, as a single person or part of a married couple.
- Provide a Certificate of Good Conduct.
- Present recommendation letters from an Area Chief and/or a religious leader.
- Show financial and emotional capacity to meet the child’s needs.
- Submit a medical report from a licensed physician.
- Obtain consent from their spouse and/or children within the family.
- Demonstrate parenting skills and the ability to provide a safe, nurturing environment.
