Our Office Workers:

As you can imagine, taking good care of our properties, staff, donors, and well over 100 children generates a pile of paperwork. Thankfully, our office team have all the administrative acumen and professional proficiency to make them more than a match for the task. Of course, our offices are situated right in the middle of our homes. So don't be surprised to see our office workers sneaking away from their desks for a moment to play with their favourite tot.

1. How did you come to work at New Life?
I was referred by DeLyde Associates, who act as financial consultants to New Life.

2. What’s your favourite part of working with New Life?
I like producing the financial reports that help to facilitate the continuing growth and success of all the New Life homes.

3. What are some highlights from your time at New Life?
Because of New Life’s specific financial reporting requirements, we had to introduce a unique ‘three dimensional’ accounting system. I got a lot of satisfaction out of seeing that system designed, created, and then successfully implemented. While working at New Life, I have broadened my experience of different financial matters. We have many different supporters, corporate and individual, local and international, with very different reporting requirements. We also handle many different currencies.

4. Looking forward, what is your biggest wish for New Life?
In the future, I want to see New Life become financially self-sustaining.

Front Office Manager

1. How did you come to work at New Life?
I joined New Life in 2007. I was introduced by a friend, who was already working here. My first job was as Child Sponsorship Secretary.

2. What’s your favourite part of working with New Life?
I get to meet and interact with so many people, which I love. That has always been the case, but since I became the Front Office Manager, it has become even more so.

3. What are some highlights from your time at New Life?
The “before” and “after” transformation of the babies! Seeing how these little ones look when they first arrive, and then witnessing the change, the growth, the “glow” after just a few days here, gives me so much joy. Watching them leave, a few months later, with their “forever” families makes my heart sing.

4. Looking forward, what is your biggest wish for New Life?
I want to see New Life not only maintain the very high standards that we have set for ourselves, but even exceed them.
